Kifaru, Nov. 18: In the Kifaru Parish 13 children received the first communion on 17th November. The Eucharist began at 10.00 a.m. with a solemn entrance procession with singing and dancing. Fr. Hilary Lobo the Parish Priest presided over the Eucharist and Fr Victor Machado the Head Master of the school gave a meaning full Homily. Fr. Alwyn D’ Souza the Mission Superior, gave the communion to the Children. Mrs. Lagua the Catechist had prepared the children for the first communion. Sisters had prepared a meaningful liturgy and also decorated the altar and the parish council members had decorated the church and the surroundings. The choir enhanced the liturgy by their melodious singing.
Around 150 people were present for the Eucharistic celebration. After the Mass, there was a small felicitation to the first communion children and a fellowship meal.
