Nov 09, 2017: On the 10th September 2017, St Joseph agriculture farm, drinking water facility to the villagers and the residential quarters for the teachers were blessed and inaugurated by Rt. Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the bishop of Mangalore diocese India and Rt. Rev Dr Rogeth Kimaryo, the bishop of Same diocese, Tanzania. The St Joseph agriculture farm will be used to train the future farmers of nearby villagers and to grow the crops to support the Mangalore Africa Mission. At the same time, water will be given to the villagers who are in need of. The teacher’s quarters are for the teachers who are teaching in nearby schools. This is the free accommodation facility given to the teachers and this is mission’s contribution towards the village.
Nearby villagers and guests were present for this program. Rev Fr Alwyn D’Souza addressed the gathering and informed the significance and the works at the Kwanyage land. Later he thanked God for His blessing and thanked all for the support and participation of the program.
