Jubilee of the Catechist of the Jipe substation of Kifaru Parish of SAME Mission

29th December, 2018; was a great day for the Jipe Substation. Mr. Firimini Inyasi Shirima, 72 year old but active catechist celebrated his 50 years as Catechist. The speciality of the programme was that the Catechist soon after the Mass planted 7 plants around the church in memory of his Jubilee. Jipe substation started with a small thatched church in 1952. In 1968 at the age of 22, Mr. Firimini Inyasi Shiriman was appointed Catechist to Jipe. There was a thanksgiving Eucharist and a felicitation programme in the Jipe Substation.

Around 200 hundred people were present for the celebration. Fr. Peter Mziray the Parish Priest of Gulu parish presided over the Eucharist. Fr. Hilary Lobo and Fr. Joseph Rodrigues concelebrated the Mass.
