Maundy Thursday Celebration at Immaculate Conception of Mary Parish Kifaru

On 18th of April 2019 the parishioners of Immaculate Conception of Mary Parish Kifaru commemorated the institution of the Holy Eucharist by Jesus Christ by observing the divinity of Maundy Thursday. The Eucharistic Mass was offered by Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Hilary lobo. Fr. Victor Machado and Fr. Joseph Rodrigues were concelebrants.

As per the ritual, the parish priest washed the feet of twelve people who represented the disciples of Lord Jesus. In the devoted tradition after washing the feet of twelve Fr. Hilary kissed the feet of the disciple represents.

Similarly Fr. George Crasta commemorated the institution of the Holy Eucharist by Jesus Christ at St. Joseph school and Fr. Alwyn m. J. D’Souza celebrated at Bethany School Mwanga.
