On 10th of February 2018 the people of God at Kivisini outstation along with Kifaru Parishioners celebrated the 25th Jubilee of its establishment. Also it was the day Rev. Fr. Victor Machado celebrated his Priestly Silver Jubilee.

Day began at 10.00 am with Eucharistic celebration celebrated by Rev. Fr. Victor Machado. Fr. Alwyn M. J. D’Souza, Fr. Hilary Lobo, Fr. Jason Lobo, Fr. Peter Pinto of Burka Parish & Fr. Peter Muzarai of Ngulu Parish were concelebrants. In the homily Fr. Peter Muzarai congratulated Fr. Victor & Kivisini people. He appreciated the faith of god in this remote village. He spoke about god’s love for his people. People thanked god for his mercy and offered the offerings during the offertory. Melodious choir was conducted by Kifaru parish choir.

After the small break there was a small felicitation function. During the felicitation function cake was cut by Fr. Victor, Fr. Hilary, Mr. Simon catechist of Kivisini and other leaders. On behalf of gathering Fr. Peter Pinto raised the toast and wished him all the very best. On behalf of Mission Fr. Alwyn wished and all fathers felicitated Fr. Victor. People from all the substations of Kifaru parish congratulated Fr. Victor with gifts. Parish Council members and staff members of St. Joseph school wished him with gifts. Many sisters from different religious congregations were present during this occasion.

Fr. Hilary congratulated the leaders of Kivisini substation and thanked them for their wholehearted support. Catechist Mr. Simon expressed his gratitude. At the end Fr. Victor thanked all for the great celebration and function came to an end with serving of delicious meal prepared by parishioners.
