On 18th of April 2020, SMAM mission conducted the face mask stitching training for the local people who had a minimal knowledge about tailoring; at St. Joseph Boy’s Science Secondary School campus. Mrs. Catherine from Marangu, Kilimanjaro conducted the training session on mask designing and stitching practicals. Mrs. Suzana Peterof Kalimani and Mrs. Celina Emanueli of Kituri were present for the session and later many more joined to learn the work. This step is taken in this very situation of COVID19 to help people with mass production & distribution of face masks to carry out the precautionary actions against corona pandemic. Catholic Diocese of Stockholm Sweden had supported this program. SMAM Socio-economic development director Rev. Fr. Victor Machado & Asst. Parish Priest of Kifaru, Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues were present for the program.
